Community Sources
Reader-facing index of primary sources gathered from the community covering this case — court filings, public records, official statements, and video coverage. The aim is to collect the primary material people point to (much of the reporting elsewhere leans on secondary sources) so it can be cited directly. This catalog is meant to grow: new sources can be added under the sections below, and their origin recorded in Where these came from. Linked, not re-hosted (copyright + no network egress at compile time). Last reviewed 2026-06-03; Reddit + YouTube follow-up pass 2026-06-04 (see 2026-06-04 update near the end); news watcher pass 2026-06-10, re-verified and amended (see 2026-06-10 update near the end); news watcher pass 2026-06-11 (see 2026-06-11 update near the end); second 2026-06-11 sweep, re-verified against re-opened sources — franchise-spillover harassment (Sacramento/SLO/Ohio), Minifigs.me supplier exit, Coffeezilla's full investigation (see 2026-06-11 update — second sweep near the end); news watcher pass 2026-06-12, re-verified — the ~$1.3M suit-against-Mansell figure and BAM's Nov 14, 2024 handover footage, both from Coffeezilla's Jun 10 video (see 2026-06-12 update); news watcher pass 2026-06-13 — a third fundraiser (GiveSendGo legal-defense fund for Schneider) plus CBC/Franchise Times recap coverage; no new case event Jun 11–13 (see 2026-06-13 update); news watcher pass 2026-06-18 — the Jun 16 Law-Gorman TRO-modification motion; news watcher pass 2026-06-19 — voice actress Tara Strong's public plea to BAM (a notable public reaction; no new case event, see 2026-06-19 update); news watcher pass 2026-06-23 — surfaced a second, archive-missing criminal case (Provo Justice Court: disorderly conduct + trespass over a Dec 10, 2025 BAM corporate-office visit); no new adjudicated event in the window (see 2026-06-23 update at the very end).
⚠ Bias & provenance. The material gathered so far comes largely from r/RecklessBen, a defense-aligned (pro-Schneider / pro-Mansell) community, and most of the hosts below are community mirrors (Google Drive, Proton Drive, Pastebin, Imgur), not official court/agency systems. Treat every item as a lead, not authority: confirm court filings against the clerk's record (Utah XChange / Oregon eCourt, see
../lawsuit/court-documents.md) and verify each statement against the original platform before relying on it. Mirrors can be edited or vanish. As sources from other vantage points are added, note their lean too.⚠ PII / no-doxxing. Continue to exclude any personal/PII content that appears in these documents, comments, or video frames — consistent with the archive's
../DISCLAIMER.md. See Excluded by policy below for the unredacted body-cam footage specifically.

"Authorized LEGO™ Reseller" — false-claim snapshots (BAM's own site)
Snapshots the community offers as evidence BAM described itself as an authorized LEGO reseller. Captures of BAM's own pages, so primary — but verify each capture.
4. "Legally Mine" — the owners' prior law-practice business
Public records the community cites for the McNeffs' earlier venture (relevant to the lawfare framing). These are legitimate primary/secondary public records, not community mirrors.
⚠ Three different McNeffs — do not conflate. Ammon & Matthew McNeff are BAM's CEO / COO and held President / VP-Marketing roles at Legally Mine, LLC (2011–2020, per the BAM FDD). Daniel McNeff is Legally Mine's sole member/manager and the UPL respondent in the Ohio order below — and the defendant the two brothers sued in the 2021 family suit.

McNeff. 14701446-0151 "LEGALLY MINE LLC" and 14701452-0151 "LEGALLY MINE TAX AND ACCOUNTING LLC" — assumed names (DBAs), both filed May 29, 2026, owner Centra Wealth Solutions, LLC. 14681035-0160 "CENTRA WEALTH SOLUTIONS, LLC" — Utah LLC formed Apr 6, 2026; no McNeff among its registry principals. |
| Amendment renaming Legally Mine, LLC → "LM Oldco, LLC" (filed copy) | https://www.reddit.com/r/RecklessBen/comments/1u2cp5j/legally_mine_changed_name_can_someone_explain/ | Image of the filed Utah Amendment to Certificate of Organization (filing no. 2605221009625B, stamped "Filed On May 21, 2026 04:49 PM" — the day the first video posted; signed by Daniel J. McNeff, managing member). Circulated on r/RecklessBen (thread 1u2cp5j, Jun 10, 2026); verified against the live registry (entity 7228976-0160 now lists as "LM OLDCO LLC"; the registry's public view exposes entity status but not the filed document itself, so the filing number/stamp appear only on the circulated image). ⚠ The handwritten signature date appears to read "5/7/26" (≈two weeks before the filing stamp) — unresolved. ⚠ Thread claims not supported by the records: the filer being "Ammon's father" (no record this archive cites establishes that relationship) and "2 new LLCs" being opened (the May 29 registrations are assumed names owned by Centra Wealth Solutions, LLC — see the registry row above). |
| BJC Live Show — community video coverage of the filings | https://www.youtube.com/@BJCLiveShow | r/RecklessBen credits this channel ("BJC show") with surfacing the rename and the new registrations. ⚠ Specific episode not identified/reviewed — cataloged as the community's attribution, not as a verified source; the registry records above are the evidence. |

6. Video coverage (primary uploads & appearances)
The full, categorized list lives in the Video Coverage megathread (linked above). Below are the
primary items (Ben's own uploads + appearances + party responses) not already in
primary-sources.md; the megathread's large reaction/influencer section is
secondary and is best left as the linked index rather than re-enumerated here.
| Item | URL | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Ben — "I Got Arrested Investigating a LEGO Store" (podcast w/ Victor, second channel) | https://youtu.be/NbrAtL7v_Vs | Primary upload. |
| Ben — store-reopening "entrapment" ("Bricks and Minifigs reopened?") | https://youtu.be/x7_InQEaHQA | Primary upload. |
| Ben — appearance on H3 Podcast | https://youtu.be/IdII08PDlUE?t=3858 | Where Ben discussed the injury/X-ray claim and the suit — a source for verifying that disputed detail. |
| Ben — appearance on Civil Rights Lawyer | https://youtu.be/Hs3bElrHKUE | Primary appearance. |
| Tyler Shaw (Ben's driver/associate) — appearance on Civil Rights Lawyer (Part 2) | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAu76DjwGGQ | Jun 7, 2026 interview by attorney John H. Bryan. Shaw was the driver during the Mar 8–9 AFPD stops (Schneider a passenger); recounts the stop-sign citation and a drug-impairment suspicion that a .00 breath test + K-9 search did not bear out. Companion to the Part 1 Ben interview (Hs3bElrHKUE, above). ⚠ Centers on the unredacted AFPD body-cam tranche, which this archive excludes on no-PII grounds — interview cataloged only; footage not linked. Misconduct framing = ALLEGATION (AFPD denies). |
| Chrystal & Benjamin (former Salem franchisees) — response to corporate claims | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zedmOopRTm0 | Direct party statement. |
| Collecting Weekly — original investigation | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21qTe07ij-g | The party who first helped Bryan and compiled the inventory drive. |
| Patreon CEO — take-down notification | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36jxNeV5L1Q | Patreon's response to BAM's takedown request. |
| American Fork City — official YouTube channel | https://youtube.com/@americanforkcity | Municipal channel (council meetings, releases). |
Added 2026-06-04 (from the Video Coverage megathread + direct channel check)
Primary uploads/appearances that the 2026-06-03 sweep left in the linked index but that belong in the
catalog. ✅ = independently confirmed live on the source channel on 2026-06-04; ⚠ = community-sourced
lead, link not yet independently opened (verify before any promotion). Several of Ben's own uploads
are now also in primary-sources.md.

| Ben — "I got arrested because of legos" (Part 2) | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxZPfj8AlmY | ✅ His follow-up on the two arrests (~3.4M views). |
| Ben — "My response to the Police" | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YEzhDn0jY8 | ✅ Reply to the AFPD media release (~2.7M views). |
| Ben — "All the footage is released!" | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih2XwNN0aVY | ✅ Newest upload (2026-06-04); ties to the unredacted-footage development below. ~640K views in ~4 hrs. |
| Ben — Response to PR Statement | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWg2bnAqW6k | ⚠ Ben's reply to BAM's first PR statement. |
| Ben — "Bricks and Minifigs CEO promises to answer all my questions" | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAh9eh3KjrU | ⚠ The megathread files this as Ben's "live reaction to the ACOB CEO interview," but the actual title reads as pre-interview framing — verify which before promotion. |
| ACOB — "Reckless Ben Immediately Responds to Bricks & Minifigs CEO Interview" | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJjEk0L-dXs | ⚠ An ACOB-channel response upload (not a second Ben sit-down, as the megathread's "ACOB - Second Interview" label implied); Ben's first ACOB appearance is K-lc6XWV3ms. |
| ABC4 Utah — police-misconduct-allegations segments | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EzqSdcgoZs · https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgjjyoG1i2k | ⚠ Primary local-news video (the on-air ABC4 reporting cited in ../media/news-articles.md). |
Legal-analysis cluster (secondary, but higher quality than influencer reactions). The megathread now indexes attorney/legal-commentary channels worth a single pointer rather than re-enumeration: Lawful Masses w/ Leonard French (
14ktgvoH4Mc,imD2U3kCZTA,c7cOeDEIWVo), Legal Mindset ("A Lawyer Explains the Reckless Ben Lawsuit,"5H714qko9aY— ✅ ~280K views, posted ~2026-06-03), and LUS (multi-part). These are commentary, not record; weight the filings (§1) over any of them.
Channel-growth note (verifiable, neutral). As of 2026-06-04 Ben's channel
@RecklessBenshows ~1.09M subscribers / 170 videos; the community flagged the 1M milestone (r/RecklessBen "He hit 1M subs"). The official AFPD channel@AmericanForkPoliceDepartmentcurrently lists one public video (the May 29 media release,IcVmSQpIPRY); whether earlier uploads were removed or never existed is not established — do not assert a "scrub."
7. Backups & mirrors
Because material keeps getting taken down, the community maintains full backups.
| Mirror | URL |
|---|---|

| Secondary AFPD backup | https://afpdrecklessben.ayamenysa.moe/ |
Excluded by archive policy
- Unredacted AFPD body-cam footage (archive.org dumps circulating in comments and on the front page,
e.g.
archive.org/details/r-20260508070750). The Compilation megathread deliberately excludes it: "we don't have any word on whether it was released intentionally or leaked. It also contains personally identifiable information which counts as doxxing." This archive should likewise cite only the officially released AFPD footage (§2), not the unredacted leak. - The 2026-06-03/04 "mostly unredacted" body-/dash-cam tranche. Around 2026-06-03 a much larger set
of AFPD body-cam and dash-cam files (community counts of ~33–56 videos / ~27 hours) became public;
per the r/RecklessBen "Resource" post, AFPD posted a new Dropbox folder of unredacted files that was
taken down shortly after, and community members re-uploaded the copies to Internet Archive and other
mirrors (e.g.
ben.kahn.studio). r/RecklessBen's "new" feed filled with clips from it on 2026-06-04, and Ben's 2026-06-04 video "All the footage is released!" references the same release. Provenance is contested — briefly/inadvertently released vs. leaked, and a separate community claim that Ben said the department was "hacked" is itself disputed by other redditors. A reupload such as "FULL BODYCAM…" (5zPRvOrmyiE, channel TechHeart, billed "NEWLY LEAKED") falls in the same bucket. Excluded for the same reason as above: unredacted, PII-bearing, and provenance unconfirmed. The mirror links are deliberately not enumerated here; cite only the May 29 officially-released, redacted AFPD footage (§2). The event may be noted neutrally in the narrative, but the claims inside the clips (e.g. officer/Airbnb-owner coordination, "fake process server") are unverified ALLEGATIONS until checked against the official record.
Advocacy / action links (NOT sources — out of scope)
The megathread also lists pressure/complaint mechanisms. They are calls to action, not citable
sources, and a neutral archive (../DISCLAIMER.md) should not adopt them. Noted
here only so the distinction is explicit: DOJ Civil Rights report, IRS referral (Form 3949-A), Utah AG
contact, American Fork "Report a Concern" + city-council calendar, the LEGO contact page, and a
Change.org petition.

Captured 2026-06-03 from r/RecklessBen. When promoting any item into the main archive pages, record its provenance and retrieval date, prefer the official record over a community mirror where one exists, and keep the neutral, allegation-vs-confirmed framing used elsewhere in this repo.
2026-06-04 update — Reddit + YouTube follow-up pass
A targeted pass over r/RecklessBen (new/top-of-day) and YouTube (Ben's channel + date-sorted search), checking for anything published or surfaced after the 2026-06-03 sweep. Retrieved 2026-06-04.
State of the maintained indexes. The Compilation of all resources megathread's edit log still ends at 06-03 — no new official documents added since the sweep, so §§1–5 above remain current. The Video Coverage megathread is richer than the 06-03 sweep pulled in; the genuinely-new primary items from it are now folded into §6 ("Added 2026-06-04").
Genuinely new since 06-03:
| # | Item | Where | Disposition |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ben — "All the footage is released!" (Ih2XwNN0aVY, 2026-06-04) | YouTube @RecklessBen | ✅ Added to §6 + primary-sources.md. |
| 2 | Ben — "My response to the Police" (2YEzhDn0jY8) and "I got arrested because of legos" (cxZPfj8AlmY) | YouTube @RecklessBen | ✅ Added to §6 + primary-sources.md. |
| 3 | ABC4 Utah on-air segments; Ben's ACOB-2 / PR-response / CEO-reaction uploads; legal-analysis cluster (Lawful Masses, Legal Mindset, LUS) | Video Coverage megathread | Added to §6 as ⚠ leads (verify before promotion). |
| 4 | (Mostly) unredacted AFPD body-/dash-cam tranche (~06-03/04) + reuploads/clips | r/RecklessBen "Resource" post, archive.org/ben.kahn.studio mirrors, v.redd.it clips, TechHeart YT reupload | Excluded (PII/doxxing + contested provenance) — see Excluded by archive policy. |
| 5 | Ben's channel crossed ~1M subscribers; AFPD YT channel shows 1 video | direct check | Noted as verifiable channel-growth facts in §6 (no "scrub" asserted). |
Deliberately not cataloged (consistent with the archive's scope): the day's large volume of
r/RecklessBen memes, opinion/speculation threads, and editorialized body-cam clips; an
ilocalize.com "Mormon Psychology" link that looks like an SEO/scraper content-farm; and the
giglio-bradylist.com "AFPD added to the Brady list" post — a third-party aggregator, not an official
prosecutorial list, which redditors note appears partly populated by this very controversy (circular;
fails the CONFIRMED bar). Recorded here only so the exclusions are auditable.
Verification status. This was a single-agent research pass. Items marked ✅ were confirmed live on the source channel; ⚠ items are community-sourced leads. Per the repo's two-agent rule, a second agent should independently confirm each cited source before any of these is promoted into
timeline.md/parties.mdor relabeled CONFIRMED.
2026-06-10 update — news watcher pass (re-verified)
An automated news-watcher pass surfaced developments after the archive's Jun 9 cutoff (that pass could not reach Reddit and ran on WebSearch + outlet coverage only); its findings were then independently re-verified and amended before being merged here. Outcome per item:
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status after re-verification |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Civil preliminary-injunction hearing reported for Jun 22, 2026 (Judge Graf, case 260402353) — whether to extend the May 28 TRO; Schneider's first chance to be heard. Distinct from the Jul 1 criminal appearance. ⚠ The pass had proposed CONFIRMED across four outlets — re-verification narrowed it: only KSL carries Jun 22 (East Idaho News is a syndication of the same story), UNILAD doesn't mention the hearing, and Dexerto conflicts, reporting Jun 30. | timeline.md (new row); README.md; lawsuit/README.md | Reported (KSL + syndication); ⚠ Dexerto says Jun 30 — cross-check XChange |
| 2 | Mansell GoFundMe removal got next-day coverage (UNILAD Tech ×2, an MSN-syndicated piece; reported peak ~$454,151). ⚠ The pass had claimed Kotaku + Soap Central as further corroboration and proposed raising the removal to CONFIRMED — re-verification refuted that: Kotaku's Jun 9 piece described the fund as having reached >$450K with no mention of a takedown, and Soap Central could not be re-opened. Removal therefore stays Reported. Superseded within hours anyway: the page came back online Jun 10 (see the Jun 10 timeline row). | timeline.md (Jun 9–10 rows); primary-sources.md; README.md | Removal Reported; cause ALLEGATION/unconfirmed; restoration Reported |
| 3 | May 28 TRO signed PDF surfaced on a community public-archive host (bamsucks.com) — read directly during re-verification, confirming the judge's signature, case number, the (a)–(k) restraints, no-bond, and that no provision names the GoFundMe. Resolved two standing ⚠ flags (TRO judge name; the RICO framing is recited in the order). | §Court filings table above; timeline.md (May 27–28 rows) | Primary doc via partisan/community mirror — cross-check XChange |
Deliberately not promoted: the Jun 9–10 cluster of Part-3 reaction / "final message" recaps (Brick
Fanatics, Geeks+Gamers, Sportskeeda, Soap Central, Dexerto — cataloged in news-articles.md, but they
restate the already-recorded Jun 9 "bad news" video rather than adding facts); refund-mechanics
speculation (no outlet confirms it); and the unredacted body-cam tranche (still excluded on PII grounds).
2026-06-11 update — news watcher pass
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 10 cutoff. Reddit was unreachable this run
(r/RecklessBen blocked to non-browser clients; old.reddit.com/*.json not in the egress allowlist and
WebFetch returned 403 across all hosts), so this pass ran on WebSearch + outlet snippets +
primary-record listings only. Outcome:
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | American Fork City Council meeting (Jun 9, 2026). Members of the public spoke in support of Schneider during public comment and demanded an independent review of AFPD's conduct; the city announced no investigation. ⚠ A council member expressed appreciation for police and cited a separate recent family incident (single substantive source). | timeline.md (Jun 9 row); police-controversy.md (events table + backlash section + ledger) | Meeting + no-investigation outcome CONFIRMED (city's own meeting video Vrr9boJhEhw + Dexerto + The Express Tribune); speakers' claims ALLEGATION; council detail Reported. ⚠ The two secondary outlets share near-identical phrasing (not fully independent) — the primary anchor is the city's official meeting video. |
| 2 | "New witness" claim — a neighboring business owner (salon next to the Eugene B&M store) reportedly said she and a client saw a U-Haul parked outside on the night of Nov 22, 2024 (deliveries normally came via major freight). | Not promoted | ⚠ Single outlet (The Express Tribune, story 2612466), which itself flags it as unverified social-media recollection; PII-adjacent (a private individual's personal account). Recorded here only as an excluded lead — re-evaluate if a court record, the named witness on the record, or a second independent outlet corroborates. |
| 3 | Supplier "cuts ties" claim — a custom-minifigure supplier reportedly ending its arrangement with BAM over the allegations. | Not promoted | ⚠ Surfaced only as a passing line in one aggregated timeline snippet; could not be independently corroborated this run. Re-check next pass. |
Also checked, nothing new to add: the Jun 9 "bad news"/Part-3 gag, the Jun 9–10 GoFundMe outage→restoration, the Jun 4 store closure/"parting ways," the Patreon standoff, and the Jun 22 PI / Jul 1 criminal hearing dates are all already recorded. The Marion County DA "≈30 pages / charges under active consideration" detail traces to the Salem Business Journal (Mar 30, 2026) — pre-existing reporting, not a new development; the archive already notes the DA review.
Verification. Two-agent rule applied: an independent verifier re-checked the Jun 9 council-meeting claims via WebSearch and confirmed the meeting date (against the city's own video title), the "no investigation announced" outcome (both outlets), and flagged the council-member detail as single-substantive-source (downgraded to Reported; "defended police" softened to "expressed appreciation"). ⚠
WebFetchegress was blocked this run, so full-text re-opening of sources was not possible — corroboration rests on multiple WebSearch snippets plus the primary municipal video record.
2026-06-11 update — news watcher pass (second sweep, re-verified)
A second sweep the same day (originating as automated bot PR #46, then independently re-verified with every promoted source re-opened — the bot's own run had no full-text access). The re-verification moved most of the bot's event dates earlier (the "post-Jun-10 developments" mostly broke Jun 4–8) and corrected several source attributions. Outcome:
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Harassment spills over to uninvolved BAM franchises (reported Jun 4–9). The independently owned Bricks & Minifigs Sacramento (Pocket) reported threatening calls/emails/messages and announced a ~week-long closure (⚠ from Jun 12 per CBS vs "week of Jun 13" per the Sacramento Bee and KCRA; reopen ~Jun 19). GM Dylan Anderson told KCRA some calls and emails "have been death threats" (KCRA carries it in its headline). ⚠ Police-report picture conflicts: per FOX40, Anderson said the store has filed multiple police reports ("There are active police reports"), while the Bee reports Sacramento PD said the store's May 23 & 30 calls produced "no direct threats" and no official report was filed in its online system. A San Luis Obispo location reported calls about the controversy — non-threatening, ended "peacefully" (KSBW, Jun 8 — a KCRA sister station, not independent corroboration); central-Ohio stores reported "hate"/backlash and decreased sales (Columbus Dispatch, Jun 9, also reporting BAM corporate citing bomb threats nationally); BAM corporate's own May 21/27 note cited "direct threats and doxxing of local staff and their families." | timeline.md (Jun 4–9 row); police-controversy.md (backlash section + ledger); news-articles.md (FOX40, CBS, KCRA, Sacramento Bee, KSBW, Columbus Dispatch) | CONFIRMED (closure announcement + harassment reports — four independent Sacramento-market outlets: FOX40/Nexstar, CBS/Paramount, KCRA/Hearst, Bee/McClatchy); "death threats" = the store's/GM's characterization; police-report detail ⚠ conflicting |
| 2 | Supplier exit — Minifigs.me / Custom Minifigs ends its BAM relationship (posted Jun 4). The UK custom-minifigure maker's owners (Nick and Caroline — the post gives no surname) announced on Facebook/Instagram they are ending their long-running supplier arrangement over the allegations — "we can no longer continue to do this in good conscience." The Facebook post is public and was re-opened directly this pass. Kotaku's Jun 10 recap covers it secondhand. ⚠ A factually.co fact-check (researched Jun 5) found supplier pull-aways undocumented in its own source set — cited as skeptical; any broader supplier "exodus" remains unestablished. | timeline.md (Jun 4 row); primary-sources.md (social-posts table) | Announcement CONFIRMED (company's own public statement, read directly; + Kotaku secondhand); breadth unestablished ⚠ |
| 3 | Coffeezilla's full investigation, "I Found The $200,000 Missing Lego" (Jun 10). Title, channel, upload date (Jun 10, 2026), and ~54-min length verified directly from the video metadata. Frames the dispute as record-keeping/compensation/legal conflict more than wholesale "theft": ~$10K–$20K "unexplained," Mansell possibly owed ~$50K–$83K, collection likely worth ~$107K — his own estimates, corroborated by The Express Tribune (story 2612574, Jun 11). | timeline.md (Jun 10 row); primary-sources.md (new entry, split from the earlier interviews clip) | Reported (Coffeezilla's findings; figures corroborated by one outlet) |
| 4 | Local Oregon TV coverage of the Jun 4 closure (KOIN, KEZI, KOMO/KATU) — better-sourced local angle; corroborates the already-CONFIRMED closure. KOIN re-opened via browser (bot-walled to plain HTTP clients); KEZI/KOMO resolve normally. | news-articles.md | Catalog enrichment |
| 5 | "New witness" / U-Haul claim (Express Tribune 2612466 — salon owner next to the Eugene store recalls a U-Haul + staff unloading on Nov 22, 2024). | Still not promoted | ⚠ Single outlet, self-flagged as unverified social-media recollection, PII-adjacent, and an Eugene-vs-Salem/Keizer location mismatch (~65 mi; and don't conflate the 2024 date with the Nov 22, 2023 consignment). Re-evaluate only on a court record, the named witness on the record, or a second independent outlet. |
Verification. Two-agent rule applied — and because the originating bot PR (#46) was produced without source access (WebSearch snippets only), this pass treated its claims as unverified authorship and re-opened everything: FOX40 (full text via browser — bot-walled), CBS Sacramento, Sacramento Bee (via its NewsBreak syndication), the public Minifigs.me Facebook post, factually.co (via browser), Kotaku, the YouTube video metadata for Coffeezilla's investigation, KOIN, and KEZI/KOMO. Corrections vs. the bot draft, all applied: (a) event dates moved from "~Jun 10–12" to Jun 4–8 (FOX40 Jun 4; CBS/KCRA Jun 5; Bee Jun 6; the Minifigs.me post is Jun 4); (b) the bot's "Sacramento Bee (via AOL)" citation was actually an AOL syndication of the FOX40 story — replaced with the real Bee article, and KCRA/KSBW/Columbus Dispatch added as the true sources of the "death threats" / San Luis Obispo / nationwide-spread details; (c) "filed multiple Sacramento PD reports" was demoted from fact to the GM's account and ⚠-flagged against the Bee's contradicting PD statement; (d) the claimed UNILAD corroboration of the Minifigs.me exit does not exist in the cited UNILAD timeline — replaced with Kotaku (Jun 10); (e) the owners' surname ("Savage") could not be verified in any opened source and was dropped; (f) the Coffeezilla row was re-dated to the verified Jun 10 upload; (g) an editor-facing instruction the bot had copied into two content rows was removed. The Minifigs.me announcement was upgraded to CONFIRMED-as-statement (primary re-opened directly), and the Sacramento item's CONFIRMED core was narrowed to the closure announcement + harassment reports. Agent B (independent verifier, all sources re-opened from bare URLs incl. the full 54-min video transcript) then caught three errors in the re-write itself, all fixed: the "'alleged' in KCRA's headline" hedge was false (verified against the live H1/og:title/JSON-LD and a Jun 5 Wayback capture — KCRA asserts "harassment and death threats" unhedged; "alleged" modifies the consignment dispute; the GM's verbatim quote is "Some of the calls and emails have been death threats"); the San Luis Obispo calls were not "harassing" (KSBW describes non-threatening calls ended "peacefully" — and KSBW is a Hearst sister of KCRA, so it doesn't independently corroborate Sacramento facts); and "filed multiple police reports" is FOX40's paraphrase, not an Anderson quote (de-quoted). B also re-dated the range to Jun 4–9 (the Dispatch piece is Jun 9), flagged the bot's unverified "BAM's $95K–$100K" valuation (replaced with the Dispatch-reported ~$80K BAM claim), and surfaced Schneider's on-camera admission that the $200K figure was promotional ("a nice even number that will grab attention").
2026-06-12 update — news watcher pass (re-verified)
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 11 cutoff, re-verified against the primary video and re-opened sources (this replaces automated bot PR #49, whose run had only WebSearch snippets — no full-text or video access). Two new facts, both surfacing in Jun 11 coverage of Coffeezilla's Jun 10 investigation video (already cataloged), were folded into the existing Jun 10 Coffeezilla row rather than booked as a separate event:
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | BAM is suing Mansell for ~$1.3 million. Per Coffeezilla, "Brian Mansell is being sued for 1.3 million as part of a legal campaign against him and Reckless Ben and any of the associates"; he calls the suit against Mansell "ridiculous" and urges BAM to drop it. | timeline.md (Jun 10 row); lawsuit/README.md (relief/damages); primary-sources.md; news-articles.md | Reported ⚠ — Coffeezilla's figure, single-origin to his video (UNILAD Tech + Nerdbeak summarize it; Dexerto omits the figure). Per Nerdbeak it attaches to the existing BAM-side suit, not a new filing; ⚠ does not cleanly reconcile with KSL's earlier "over $300,000" for that suit. Cross-check Utah XChange. |
| 2 | BAM's Nov 14, 2024 handover footage. COO Matt McNeff cites in-store/ring-camera footage from the Salem ownership transfer (Gorman owners → Best/Johnson) to argue incoming owner Brandon Best came in a rental car with no U-Haul, BAM's basis for contending the sets were not stolen by the new owners. ⚠ Coffeezilla disputes it — brightened footage reveals a U-Haul that night — but reaches no concrete conclusion (possible camper/trailer explanation). | Same rows as #1 | Footage-shown/discussed Reported (single-origin); BAM's "not stolen" inference ALLEGATION; U-Haul significance inconclusive. ⚠ Salem-vs-Keizer naming varies across outlets — the handover store is Salem. |
Verification. Two-agent rule applied. Agent A re-opened UNILAD Tech ×2, Dexerto, and Nerdbeak, found the KSL "over $300,000" figure (the May 27 BAM suit) to confirm the conflict is real, and pulled the full 54-minute video transcript (
yt-dlpcaptions) to anchor the quotes to the primary source — the $1.3M line ("being sued for 1.3 million as part of a legal campaign against him and Reckless Ben and any of the associates"), the "I told the CEO and COO that's ridiculous and they should drop this" quote, and the Nov 14 U-Haul dispute ("a U-Haul in the parking lot right outside of the store the night of November 14th, 2024 … something that Matt said he had seen footage of and it couldn't be true") all verify verbatim. Corrections vs. the bot draft, all applied: (a) the ~$1.3M is the existing suit's figure (Nerdbeak + the transcript's "part of a legal campaign"), not a new suit; (b) the bot's silent rewrite oflawsuit/READMEfrom "not confirmable from secondary sources" to "not confirmable from the filed complaint" (implying someone read the docket) was reverted — we have not seen the complaint; (c) the U-Haul/CCTV framing was corrected: McNeff cited footage to claim no U-Haul, and it was Coffeezilla who brightened footage to reveal one (undercutting McNeff), not BAM footage cleanly proving "not stolen"; (d) the bot put "ALLEGATION" in the timeline status cell, which (perclassifyStatus) would have flipped the whole row's status pill from "Reported" to "Allegation" — moved to the event prose. Nerdbeak was added as a corroborating outlet. Agent B (independent verifier — re-opened all four articles + KSL from the bare URLs and pulled its own copy of the 54-min transcript) returned SUPPORTED on both claims at "Reported," confirmed the KSL "over $300,000" tension is real and the $1.3M is the existing suit's figure, and applied two precision fixes: (a) Dexerto supports only the ~$20K-missing / valuation angle — it cites neither the $1.3M Mansell figure nor the U-Haul/CCTV (and frames the suit as against Reckless Ben, not Mansell), so its citation was scoped accordingly; (b) BAM's narrow "incoming owners didn't carry the sets off" inference (ALLEGATION) must not be conflated with Coffeezilla's separate "mostly mismanagement, ~$20k missing" conclusion — the wording keeps them distinct. B found nothing fabricated.
2026-06-13 update — news watcher pass
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 12 cutoff. Total bot-wall this run: every relevant
outlet (CBC, Wikipedia, GoFundMe, Geeks+Gamers, That Park Place, Nerdbeak, Franchise Times) returned
HTTP 403 to both WebFetch and curl; givesendgo.com is off the egress allowlist; and Reddit
was unreachable (blocked to non-browser clients, no browser here). So — like the Jun 11 pass — this run
ran on WebSearch result snippets only, with no full-text or primary-page access. Findings:
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | A third fundraiser surfaced — a GiveSendGo "Legal Defense Fund For Reckless Ben." Reported started ~Jun 9–10, 2026 by Sean Fitzgerald (YouTuber "Actual Justice Warrior") to fund Schneider's legal defense — separate from the Mansell-family GoFundMe (which it post-dates and which briefly went offline Jun 9–10). | primary-sources.md (Fundraisers table) | Reported ⚠ — existence + organizer + distinctness independently corroborated, but figures unverifiable (page off-allowlist; only a vague "~10% of goal" snippet); secondary coverage is partisan/entertainment (Geeks+Gamers, That Park Place) + the organizer's own channel. Any "rival fund pressured GoFundMe to restore the Mansell page" reading is speculation. ⚠ Don't conflate with a fourth, distinct GiveSendGo ("Help me hire Ben Schneider…"). |
| 2 | CBC News — "Breaking down the Bricks & Minifigs Lego scandal involving YouTube's 'Reckless Ben'" (Jun 12, 2026); mainstream Canadian broadcaster, also syndicated on Yahoo News Canada/UK. | news-articles.md | Catalog enrichment — notable mainstream/international outlet, but a recap/explainer: latest dated facts are the Jun 8 GoFundMe + the upcoming PI hearing; no new post-Jun-10 development. |
| 3 | Franchise Times — "Viral Bricks & Minifigs Dispute Highlights Systemwide Effects of Franchise Litigation" (~Jun 12–13); franchise-industry trade outlet, franchisor-compliance angle. | news-articles.md | Catalog enrichment — industry-analysis recap; no new dated case event. |
Deliberately not promoted:
- A "~$670,000" Mansell-GoFundMe figure that appeared in the CBC search snippet (vs. the archive's last anchored ~$465K on Jun 10). Unverifiable this run — GoFundMe 403'd, and a single fast-model search-snippet number is too thin to enter the carefully-timestamped fundraiser ledger. Re-check and anchor to a direct snapshot next pass.
- Anything dated Jun 11–13 as a case event — none found. The latest substantive developments remain the Jun 9 Part-3 gag, the Jun 9–10 GoFundMe outage→restoration, and the Jun 10 Coffeezilla investigation (all already recorded). The CBC/Franchise Times pieces are Jun 12–13 publications about older events, not new events.
Verification. Two-agent rule applied. An independent verifier subagent was given only the claims-as-written + citation URLs and re-ran its own searches: it returned SUPPORTED on the GiveSendGo fund's existence/organizer/distinctness (confidence high) while refuting any confirmable dollar figure (page unreachable — "drop/soft-label any amount"), and confirmed CBC (Jun 12) and Franchise Times as real but recap-only. Its independent Jun 11–13 sweep found no ruling, settlement, Mansell dismissal, or new filing. ⚠ As in the Jun 11 pass, full-text re-opening of sources was blocked, so corroboration rests on multiple WebSearch snippets, not primary-page reads — every item above is labeled accordingly and nothing was raised to CONFIRMED.
2026-06-18 update — news watcher pass
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 13 cutoff (and after open watcher PR #53, the Jun 17
run, which recorded Schneider going pro se in the criminal case and the Jun 30 civil PI-hearing
date). One genuinely new, dated case event surfaced; it is added to the archive, labeled Reported ⚠.
Reddit was unreachable (blocked to non-browser clients; no browser here), and WebFetch returned
HTTP 403 on every primary host (Dexerto, Nerdbeak, bamsucks.com, YouTube), so — like the Jun 11/13
passes — corroboration rests on WebSearch result snippets, not full-text/primary-page reads.
Nothing was raised to CONFIRMED.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Former Salem franchisees move to limit the TRO (Jun 16, 2026). The "Law-Gorman parties" — Chrystal Law(-Gorman), Benjamin Gorman, and BAMF Salem 1, LLC — reportedly filed in the Utah civil case (No. 260402353) to intervene and to modify or dissolve the May 28 TRO, arguing it is overbroad, restrains protected speech about their separate Salem-franchise dispute, and reaches them via a clause covering publications that "in any way relate to the private legal dispute … between Bryan and Chrystal." They ask the court to strike/narrow the takedown clause, clarify the order does not bind them, and decline a PI of the same scope. The court had not ruled. | timeline.md (Jun 16 row); lawsuit/README.md (Interim-order field); news-articles.md (Dexerto) | Reported ⚠ — single original outlet (Dexerto); Nerdbeak etc. echo near-identical wording (derivative, not independent docket review); the motion itself was not accessible this pass. Cross-check Utah XChange; confirm whether the intervention and the dissolution are one motion or two. |
Deliberately not promoted:
- A floating "~$673K" Mansell-GoFundMe figure reappearing in a Yahoo-derived search snippet. As in the Jun 13/17 passes this is unverifiable (GoFundMe off-allowlist; the archive's last anchored figure is ~$465K on Jun 10, and PR #53's verifier found the reported total clustering at ~$445K–$457K with no source confirming ~$670K). Possible conflation with the separate GiveSendGo legal-defense fund. Not recorded.
- Already covered by open PR #53 (not duplicated here): Schneider representing himself pro se in the criminal case, and the civil PI hearing now reported for June 30 (vs. the older KSL "Jun 22"). Those belong to that pass; this PR only adds the Jun 16 TRO-modification motion.
- Recap/explainer pieces (CBC, Franchise Times, games.gg, thatparkplace, thewatchdogonline, etc.) with no new dated facts.
Verification. Two-agent rule applied: an independent verifier subagent was given only the claim-as-written + the Dexerto URL and re-ran its own searches. It returned SUPPORTED on the Jun 16 filing date, the filing parties (Law / Gorman / BAMF Salem 1), the intervene + modify/dissolve nature, the "not defendants / separate Salem litigation" framing, the three specific requests, and "court has not ruled" — but found the development effectively single-sourced to Dexerto (other outlets echo near-identical wording), PARTIALLY SUPPORTED the full trailing TRO quotation ("…between Bryan and Chrystal" appeared in only one snippet), and flagged that the claim may compress one vs. two motions. It could not reach the actual motion or the court docket (all hosts 403). The Dexerto article's publication date estimates to ~Jun 17–18, 2026. Per the verifier, this stays Reported ⚠, not CONFIRMED, until the June 16 filing or the Utah Fourth District docket can be obtained.
2026-06-19 update — news watcher pass
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 18 cutoff (today is Jun 19). No new case event
(no ruling on the pending Jun 16 Law-Gorman TRO motion, no settlement, no Mansell dismissal, no new
filing or arrest; the civil PI hearing remains reported for Jun 30, the criminal appearance for
Jul 1). One genuinely new, multi-sourced public-reaction development surfaced and is cataloged
(media only — not the litigation timeline). As in the Jun 11/13/17/18 passes, Reddit was unreachable
(blocked to non-browser clients; no browser here) and WebFetch returned HTTP 403 on every primary
host (Dexerto, UNILAD Tech, Central Oregon Daily, AOL, Tribune), so corroboration rests on WebSearch
result snippets across multiple independent outlets, not full-text/primary-page reads.

| 1 | Voice actress Tara Strong publicly backs the Mansell family (~Jun 17–18, 2026). Prolific voice actress Tara Strong (Powerpuff Girls' Bubbles, Teen Titans' Raven, Harley Quinn, My Little Pony's Twilight Sparkle, Loki's Miss Minutes; with Star Wars voice credits — additional voices in The Rise of Skywalker, Risha/Holiday in The Old Republic) posted a ~90-second video using ~10 of her iconic character voices while holding the matching LEGO minifigures, urging BAM to "do the right thing" / "give back the LEGOs," calling the company "bullies" and Schneider a hero/"Batman," and saying "Let them keep the GoFundMe, and also drop your lawsuit against Ben." Reported ~380K+ views / ~73K likes. | primary-sources.md (Notable social/community posts); news-articles.md (Dexerto, UNILAD Tech, Central Oregon Daily/AOL) | Public reaction — cataloged, not a litigation event. The fact she posted it and its content are corroborated by multiple independent outlets (Dexerto + UNILAD Tech + an AP-wire write-up on Central Oregon Daily/AOL) plus her own public video; but it is a one-sided advocacy plea by a public figure, not a finding on the merits (BAM denies theft) — framed neutrally and kept out of the timeline. ⚠ Platform: outlets describe a TikTok post cross-posted to her Facebook page; exact post date inferred (~Jun 17). |
Deliberately not promoted:
- The Jun 16 Law-Gorman TRO motion recap coverage (Express Tribune story 2613906, UNILAD Tech Jun 18, Geeks+Gamers) — already recorded (PR #54, Jun 16 timeline row). These Jun 17–18 pieces restate the pending motion; no court ruling has been reported.
- A floating "~$673K" Mansell-GoFundMe figure still appearing in Yahoo-derived snippets — unverifiable (GoFundMe off-allowlist; last anchored figure ~$465K on Jun 10; reported totals cluster ~$445K–$457K). A Jun-2026 snippet put the fund at $457,730 of $500K — within the already-noted range, not a new event. Possible conflation with the separate GiveSendGo legal-defense fund. Not recorded.
- Techdirt "And Now Basically Everyone In This LEGO Dispute Looks Sketchy" (Jun 12) and other recap/explainer pieces — no new dated case fact.
Verification. Two-agent rule applied: an independent verifier subagent was given only the claim-as-written + the citation URLs (not these notes) and re-ran its own searches. It returned SUPPORTED that Tara Strong posted the video (~Jun 17–18) and on its substance — the "do the right thing" / "give back the LEGOs" plea, the "drop your lawsuit against Ben" / "let them keep the GoFundMe" line, the character-voices-with-minifigures format, and her identity/credits — corroborated across Dexerto, UNILAD Tech, and the AP-wire (Central Oregon Daily/AOL) plus her own public video. It flagged (and the entry reflects) that the posting platform varies across outlets (Facebook vs. TikTok) and that this is advocacy, not a case development — so it is cataloged as a public reaction, not entered in the timeline, and nothing was raised to a litigation CONFIRMED. Full-text re-opening of every source was blocked (403/off-allowlist), so corroboration rests on multiple WebSearch snippets across independent outlets, not primary-page reads.
2026-06-23 update — news watcher pass
A targeted pass for developments after the Jun 19 cutoff (today is Jun 23). No new adjudicated
case event in the Jun 19–23 window: the civil preliminary-injunction hearing is reported for
Jun 30 (it has not occurred; ⚠ the older KSL "Jun 22" is best read as article timestamps, not a
competing hearing date — the date is consistently Jun 30), the Jun 16 Law-Gorman motion to
modify/dissolve the TRO is still pending (no ruling), and there is no settlement, Mansell dismissal,
new filing, or new arrest. As in recent passes, Reddit was unreachable (off the egress allowlist; no
browser here) and WebFetch returned HTTP 403 on every primary host (KSL, KSL NewsRadio, Wikipedia,
bamsucks.com, Tribune, CBC, YouTube), so corroboration rests on WebSearch result snippets across
outlets, not full-text/primary-page reads.
One genuinely archive-missing fact surfaced and is added (the events are older, but the archive had never recorded them — they were under-captured by earlier passes that bundled all four charges into the single American Fork arrest):
| # | Item | Where it landed | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Schneider faces a second, separate criminal case in Provo Justice Court — disorderly conduct (class C misdemeanor) + trespassing (class B misdemeanor), charged ~Apr 7, 2026, based on a Dec 10, 2025 visit to Bricks & Minifigs' corporate office in Provo — distinct from the American Fork stalking/targeted-residential-picketing case. This means the four charges the archive had lumped under the "first arrest" actually split across two Utah courts. | timeline.md (new ~Dec 10, 2025 + Apr 7, 2026 rows; clarifying note on the Mar 10 row); police-controversy.md ("Two criminal cases, not one" section + table row + ledger); news-articles.md (KSL NewsRadio) | Reported — charges/date/court per KSL (single mainstream outlet network: KSL.com + KSL NewsRadio). ⚠ The Provo case number 261000376 appears only on a partisan mirror (bamsucks.com) + a YouTube title — cross-check Utah XChange. BAM's account of the Dec 10 conduct (concealed-device filming, refusing to leave, demanding $200K) is an ALLEGATION drawn from its complaint via a partisan mirror. |
Deliberately not promoted / re-confirmed already-recorded:
- "Pro se" criminal status + the Jun 30 PI date — these are the subject of open watcher PR #53
(
auto/news-20260617T000000Z), built on the same KSL article; this pass does not re-add theksl.com/article/51509919catalog row or duplicate those facts. (This PR cites the KSL NewsRadio syndication for the distinct two-cases detail PR #53 did not capture.) - Leaked "Provo pretrial conference" audio circulating on YouTube (
mVgkAfPrCJs,Qba0uVefgXM,iz1cf8JdTeI) and partisan docket scans (bamsucks.com, salembricktrials.com) — excluded as unverifiable provenance + PII-bearing leaked court audio, consistent with the archive's exclusion of the unredacted body-cam tranche. Cited only as community leads for the case's existence, not adopted. - The Jun 16 Law-Gorman TRO-modification motion — already recorded (Jun 16 timeline row, PR #54); no court ruling reported.
- A floating "~$673K" Mansell-GoFundMe figure — still unverifiable (GoFundMe off-allowlist; last anchored ~$465K on Jun 10).
Verification. Two-agent rule applied: an independent verifier subagent was given only the claims-as-written + citation URLs (not these notes) and re-ran its own searches. It returned SUPPORTED on the Provo case existence, its charges (disorderly C + trespass B), the Apr 7 charge date, and the Dec 10, 2025 BAM-corporate-office basis (all anchored to KSL), and SUPPORTED the parallel American Fork charges (stalking class A + targeted residential picketing class B, ~Mar 27) and the Jun 30 PI-hearing date (CBC, Nerdbeak, Dexerto). It flagged — and the entries reflect — that (a) the case number 261000376 is mainstream-unconfirmed (partisan mirror / YouTube only), (b) the granular Dec 10 conduct details are BAM-allegation, not mainstream-sourced, and (c) "June 22" is an article-timestamp artifact, not a competing hearing date. Its independent Jun 19–23 sweep found no ruling, settlement, Mansell dismissal, new filing, or arrest. Both agents were blocked from full-text reads (403/off-allowlist), so nothing was raised to CONFIRMED.
